Cold Chain Peptide Delivery in Bali

Peptides are temperature-sensitive molecules. Exposure to heat — even briefly — can degrade their structure and reduce potency. In Bali's tropical climate, where ambient temperatures regularly exceed 30°C, maintaining an unbroken cold chain from storage to delivery isn't optional. It's the entire point.

Why Cold Chain Matters for Peptides

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides are relatively stable at room temperature for short periods. But once reconstituted — dissolved in bacteriostatic water — they become far more sensitive to thermal degradation. Even unreconstituted peptides stored above 25°C for extended periods will lose potency over time.

The challenge in Bali is straightforward: the island sits 8° south of the equator. Daytime temperatures hover around 30–33°C year-round, with humidity above 80%. Standard courier services use ambient-temperature vehicles and sorting facilities. A peptide sitting in a delivery van for three hours in Canggu traffic has been exposed to conditions that pharmaceutical guidelines explicitly warn against.

Our Cold Chain Process

1. Storage: Pharmaceutical-Grade Refrigeration

All peptide inventory is stored at 2–8°C in dedicated pharmaceutical refrigeration units with continuous temperature monitoring. This is the same range specified by manufacturers for long-term peptide stability. We don't use household refrigerators — they cycle temperatures too widely and lack alarm systems.

2. Packing: Insulated Containers + Ice Packs

When your order is confirmed, vials are packed in insulated containers with pre-frozen gel ice packs. The insulation maintains internal temperatures below 8°C for at least 6 hours — well beyond our typical delivery window of 2–4 hours. Each container is sealed and labelled with handling instructions.

3. Transport: Direct Delivery, No Intermediaries

Orders go directly from our storage facility to your address. There are no intermediate warehouses, no ambient-temperature sorting centres, no handoffs between carriers. One driver, one route, door to door. This is why we limit our delivery area to Bali — it's the only way to guarantee an unbroken chain.

4. Handoff: Inspect on Arrival

When your delivery arrives, inspect the packaging. The insulated container should still feel cold. If a vial is cracked, the seal is broken, or the packaging feels warm, contact us immediately. We replace compromised orders same-day at no charge.

Delivery Timeline

Why We Don't Ship Inter-Island

Indonesia's inter-island logistics infrastructure cannot guarantee temperature-controlled transit. Standard cargo services expose packages to ambient heat during loading, transit, and sorting. Air cargo involves tarmac time in direct sunlight. Even "express" services from Bali to Jakarta take 12–24 hours with multiple handling points.

We'd rather limit our coverage to Bali — where we can control every link in the chain — than ship nationwide and hope for the best. If sufficient demand develops in other cities, we'll establish dedicated cold-chain partnerships. Until then, we won't compromise on this.

What to Do After Delivery

Once you receive your peptides, refrigerate them immediately at 2–8°C. Read our storage guide for tropical climates for detailed instructions on keeping peptides stable in Bali's heat and humidity, including what to do during power outages.
